Dr. A. Selvakumari currently serves as the Principal and Assistant Professor in the Department of Tamil in Thiruvalluvar Arts & Science College for Women, Soolappuram. With over 16 years of rich academic and administrative experience, she is widely recognized for her dynamic leadership and unwavering commitment to academic excellence.
Dr. A. Selvakumari holds a Ph.D. in Tamil from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai. She also holds a Master degree in Tamil, a MasterofPhilosophy inTamilandMasterofEducationinTamil, she has also passed in National Eligibility Test (NET), consistently excelling at every stage of her academic journey.
Beginning her career as an Assistant Professor, Dr. A. Selvakumari has successfully progressed through various academic roles including Assistant Professor, Head of the Department. Since June 2016, she has been leading Thiruvalluvar Arts & Science College for Women as Principal, where she continues to inspire and uplift the academic environment through strategic leadership and innovative practices.
A strong proponent of continuous learning, Dr. A. Selvakumari brings exceptional skills in communication, leadership, lecturing, and training. She is passionate about student welfare, believing firmly that students are the true foundation of an institution’s growth and vitality. Her administrative strengths lie in smart strategic planning, efficient management, and a deep-rooted dedication to fostering research culture and vibrant learning ecosystems.
